According to a press release, the restaurant will include an Elvis Shrine, the La Chihuahua Bar with framed photos of dogs, a "school" of hand-carved wooden fish, metal palms trees, and a hubcap-covered ceiling.

“We are thrilled to open our doors in El Paso,” states Fabian Alba, Area Supervisor for Chuy’s El Paso, in the press release. “We’re looking forward to sharing the Chuy’s experience with El Pasoans and I’m positive this community will appreciate our passion for food and our fun and quirky style.”

Its Fountains location will be along the lifestyle Promenade section in the lower part of the center. Chuy's was founded in Austin in 1982 and has more than 60 locations in 14 states. The El Paso restaurant will be the furthest west for the company.

  1. The Fountains is a great addition to all El Pasoans, I never heard of Chuy's, but my question is, did they ever invite anyone from the Cheesecake Factory to come and check out the Fountains? By my understanding is that they might be considering Albuquerque for a new restaurant, Chuy's Tex Mex, those people back in east Texas consider El Paso the armpit of the state of Texas! but they sure do like our money and business.

  2. Poor guy has never even left El Paso or probably been to an airport. Last I heard Austin is Central Texas, not East Texas.

  3. Poor Guy! what do you mean Jerry by poor guy? I bet that I have been to way more better places around the world than you'll ever get to travel. As far as I'm concern everything east of the Pecos river is East Texas, take it or leave it.
As far as airports are concern, I've even landed on the flight deck on a aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean Sea!
So stop attacking my post, and just Chill Out dude!
