Final Piece of Steel Placed at Downtown Ballpark

Construction crews at the Downtown El Paso Triple-A ballpark construction site reached another milestone today as the final piece of steel was lifted into place.

The "Topping Off" ceremony is just another step in the baseball stadium's march towards completion. A ceremonial banner was hung from the piece, which will form part of the right-field bleachers.

  1. I saw this story on the news today and it sure looks pretty good, they still have to lift up the score board and the pole structures for the stadium lights! Among installing the stadium seats and planting the field grass and stocking all the fridges with plenty of cold beer! This stadium should be ready in 74 days from now or by opening game day April 11, 2014.
